 Firefighters worked alongside local agencies overnight on wildfires that ignited in central Texas. Picture via Texas A&M Forest Service Nearly 500 homes have been evacuated in Central-Northern Texas in Eastland County as fires continue to burn tens of thousands of acres in Eastland. Over 45,000 acres have been burnt since Thursday. The Texas A&M Forecast Service has announced that 10 percent of the fire is contained as of Friday afternoon.  Though the fire risk will still continue throughout the next 36 hours, this weekend will be nothing short of beautiful. In fact it'll feel more spring-like as a ridge of high pressure aloft allows for rising temperatures and clear skies! Starting off with Saturday, we are forecasting temperatures to be several degrees above normal. Temperatures will climb into the mid 70s across the region, while the normal temperature for this time of year is approximately 69 degrees. With mostly clear skies and light winds, we should get down into the upper 40's to low 50's overnight. It will continue to be extremely dry Saturday, with relative humidity between 10-20%. Sunday, a noticeable southerly wind takes shape throughout the day. This combined with sunny skies, and low relative humidity will unfortunately cause a more concerning threat of fire weather. With the increased wind, temperatures will reach the mid to upper 70s and maybe closer to 80 back out to the west.  Regarding next week, the forecast isn't looking so great for Monday. We are expecting conditions to become favorable for an outbreak of severe weather, especially areas south of the metroplex. For a full breakdown on the potential for severe weather, CLICK HERE
