There has been a lot of discussion about the potential for snow in the past 24 hours, but now that that Sunday is coming  closer and closer, models tend to become more accurate and less skippy.

Part of Denton County COULD see their first snowflakes in over 300 days. The last time we saw snow in Denton County was back in January & February of 2020. We measured near 1.7" of snow earlier this year during a 'snowstorm', at least that's what North Texans would call it.

This system is very similar to what we saw this past Winter, which brought inches of snow to some areas, however, this system is moving through warmer temperatures. In fact, most of DFW will remain in the mid-upper 30s during the morning hours. but some areas in Northern DFW could see temperatures get close to 32 degrees, which would be just cold enough for some early cold rain, transitioning into a mix of light snow and rain. Snow accumulations aren't expected anywhere at this time, unless you live around or North of The Red River Valley.
