 EXCESSIVE RAINFALL FORECAST TOMORROW: The WCEP has given DFW a MODERATE RISK of seeing an excessive amount of rainfall for Central/Eastern DFW tomorrow. The graphic above represents the rain accumulation forecast according to the GFS model for tomorrow. You can clearly see, most of the metroplex will see upwards of 2-4", with some areas receiving from 5-10". (NOTE: This is a computer model. Results may vary. You may see more or less rain from what your location's total states)  Rainfall totals across DFW will reach 1-5" tomorrow, with some areas receiving 5-10 INCHES OF RAIN tomorrow. The MODERATE RISK means that there is a 40-50% chance that rainfall exceeding flash flood guidance within a 25-mile radius. The yellow/orange shading represents a 10-20% chance, and then the green shading represents a 5-10% chance of that occurring.  And if flooding rains wasn't enough, there is a SLIGHT RISK of Severe Weather across Central/Southern/ Eastern DFW. The primary concerns will be large hail (up to golf ball size) and damaging winds (up to 70 mph). A brief tornado cannot be ruled out, but the overall risk is low.
A MARGINAL RISK of severe weather exists in Northern/Western sections of DFW, with the primary threat being isolated large hail or damaging winds.
