If 2020 couldn't get any weirder...
A Denton County Resident decided to create a petition. This petition had all to do with North Texas receiving hardly any snow during the past several years. But don't forget, most of Denton County saw between 1-2 inches of snow on January 11th, 2020. We are not sure when this Denton County Resident moved in, but we definitely just saw snow this past Winter. "BRING SNOW TO NORTH TEXAS PLEASE. Texas has not seen snow in a very long time. Living in denton, I am very upset we have not seen snow in years." said John Simon on his Change.org Petition. This Winter, we have been extremely close three separate occasions to seeing snowfall, the closest was just recently, which a few snowflakes fell in the sky a couple of times in the past ten days. Even though we are in a La Nina Winter, which means overall less precipitation and warmer temperatures, it seems like we've had more chances of snow this Winter than we had in the 2018-2019 & 2019-2020 Winters ALREADY. Keep up to date with DCW for the latest.
