BREAKING: Severe Weather Outbreak possible for NTX Friday

BREAKING: NW DFW is in an Enhanced Risk (or Mod-High) of Severe Storms for Friday Afternoon into the Evening.

There is a lot of developments that are new, including the potential for some supercell storms. There is a huge question mark though (as always): Will we see an outflow boundary from Oklahoma push a line of strong storms into DFW, or will we see discrete supercells first? This will be a major question mark heading into tomorrow.

THREATS: All threats are in play. Yes, there is a chance of a few tornadoes (5-10% chance within 25 mile radius in the orange shaded area). Large hail is possible out of a few storms, as well as straight line winds. If we see a line of storms from Oklahoma, we will likely only see damaging winds and maybe small pockets of hail. If discrete supercells form, coverage will be lower, and risks for severe storms will be much higher.

TIMING: We are anticipating storms as early as the mid afternoon hours, and as late as the evening. Please be weather aware throughout the day.
