BREAKING: EF-1 Tornado Confirmed in Rockwall County

A tornado caused damage in Rockwall County at around 4:35am earlier today.
Damage clearly shows roofs damaged. The National Weather Service confirmed an EF-1 tornado in Southeastern Rockwall County. The tornado lasted about two minutes, between 4:34am to 4:36am. Maximum sustained winds are estimated to be 100 MPH. The width of this tornado was only 50 yards, so it was a very small tornado. The tornado was on the ground for half a mile.

The tornado impacted a neighborhood near FM 548 North and State Highway 205. Several houses were damaged, and power was out in some of the areas in the southern part of the county. No injuries were reported from the tornado.
